Not long after we got together, my wife invited me to join her samba marching band (did I mention my wife is the coolest?). 

 

The band had been asked to play the inner fire circle on Burn Night at Burning Man, and they needed additional drummers. 

 

Those drum lessons I never wanted ended up helping me have some of the best nights of my life, playing the hardest I have ever played, with some of the most enjoyable people I have known.

 

Founded in Nevada City by Rion Raysay and Matt Herman, Sambadrop has made thousands of people rock their butts off over the years. I am proud to have been part of the band and grateful to my bandmates for all the joy.
